Dark Hungarian psycho-thriller in preproduction
The Hungary of the seventies will appear in Balázs Lóth’s first feature, where a witness suffering of amnesia has to search his memory to unveil the truth about a murder in the past. The script has already been rewritten five times, and according to the director it’s present version makes it very interesting for Western European producers too as the world of the former communist bloc is still intriguing.

The production has recently looked for co-production partners at the Galway Film Fair in Ireland with success: around 20 potential partners are waiting for the script.

Most of the film (around 75%) will take place in a big house or building, it will speak in English and the director is even flirting with the idea of 3D shooting. About the locations and characters the main idea can be seen in the director’s short film, Epilogue, but these elements might change according to the needs of the future co-production partners.

The film called Exit is produced by The Garden Film Production Company which is already in possession of the half of the 100 million HUF (cca. 355 000 euros) budget. The film is planned to be finished around this time next year and will be presented in cinemas by the end of 2011.
