Emerson and Co. – The First Hungarian 3D Movie
Krisztina Goda (director of Children of Glory and Just Sex and Nothing Else) just got a declaration of intent for funding from the Hungarian Motion Picture Association (MMKA) for the first Hungarian 3D movie. Emerson and Co. (Emerson és Tsa) will be an adaptation of a children story written by Levente Lezsák.
Emerson and Co. will be a 3D film with real actors which – according to the director’s interview published by [origo] – due to the high costs will be an international co-production and will be shot in 2012. Goda explained that they might use some real locations, but as we talk about a world of fantasy, most of the film will be shot in studio in front of a green screen. The director compared her film to Shrek and revealed that she plans to use an international cast for this English-speaking movie, which will however have a Hungarian dubbed version too.
The film will be produced by Emőke Vágási and Cor Leonis Films Ltd. who already have been accorded by MMKA 3.000.000 HUF (10.700 euros) for project development in 2007.
