The circus that interrupts Andrássy avenue is located halfway between Octogon and Heroes’ square. The most meticulously designed avenue of Budapest and the grand-bourgeois villas lining it were built in the late 19th century. In the circular square, there are several-storey Eclectic palaces with concave facades. Underneath the hundred-year-old plane trees of the circus, the statues of four historic figures have been erected.
